Owl Pellet Explorers!

Our WONDERFUL
Summitivew PTO (Parent-Teacher-Organization) organized and set up an exciting and hands-on science lesson where the KinderKids were allowed to dissect owl pellets
There was an "owl expert" that came into the room and taught the kids all about the sounds, habitats, and unique features of owls.
We ended with using our sense of sight, touch, and smell to DISSECT and EXPLORE the pellets, like scientists do.
The Kinders discovered some amazing bones that was inside the pellet.
The Kinders used their bone chart to categorize what type of bone was inside the bone.
Although stinky (some kids held their breathe), the KinderKids absolutely were mesmerized by the hands-on activity!
We searched for bones in our
owl pellets!
Thank you, SV PTO!
