First Week is Done!

Yay to all of us in Room 408!  We have exercised our brains, learned the rules, and began working on the routine of the day!  What a joy this week has been.
Thank you for sharing your darling KinderKid with me this year~~it will be amazing to watch their growth both physically and academically.

You've probably noticed your child is quite tired and hungry with they get home from school.  Please make sure your child gets 11-12 hours of sleep each night to ensure their brains are rested and ready to learn the next day!

Enjoy this 3 day weekend and I'll see everyone on Tuesday morning!

Kindergarten Transition Week!

Well, I have just spent the last 5 days with your darling child and, boy, did we have fun!  The goals of this week were, purely, to ease your child into our AMAZING school at Whitney.
Your can now...
*Walk  to/from places in our "Kindergarten Style"            (hands behind the back, eyes straight ahead)
*Go through a lunch line, holding his/her tray
*Line up from recess in the correct line
*Greet our principal, Mr. Michielsen
*Say my name, along with our counselor's and parapros
*Sit on the carpet "criss-cross, applesauce, pepperoni pizza"
*Sing many new songs
I have, simply, loved every minute of getting to know your child!  Thank you for giving me the gift of teaching your child this year~~it's going to be an AWESOME year!
