Bye-Bye, Butterflies!

We have watched the entire life cycle of a butterfly "unfold"
in front of our eyes!
It has been amazing!
Today, we said goodbye to our 25 butterflies.
It was a joyous day,
as we knew our learning is done!
First comes a butterfly that lays an egg.
Out comes a caterpillar with many legs.
Oh, see the caterpillar spin and spin...
A little chrysalis to sleep in!
Oh, oh, oh, wait and see...
Oh, oh, oh, wait and see.
Out comes a beautful butterfly!

I Love you, Mommy!

We celebrated our moms with a
special concert, hand massages, reading of cards, delivery of handmade gifts, and a yummy strawberry float!
The love was in the air...it was magical and memorable!
Mom,
Do you know how much I love you?
First, touch the ground.  Reach for the sky.
Get down low, then jump real high.
Put one arm out and then the other.
That's how much I love you!

Happy Mother's Day!

We have Chrysalis'!

Our itty-bitty caterpillars have been eating, molting their skin, hung upside down in a "J" form, and now they are in their chrysalis!

They are sleeping inside their cozy house for a few more days.
Room 5 thinks we will have beautiful butterflies by next week!
It is pretty exciting to witness the life cycle of a butterfly!
I bet every househould is learning a lot of vocabulary words, too!
