Welcome to Kindergarten!

In a few days your child will complete one of the most important milestones in his/her life...

the first day of school! 

I understand that you and your child may meet this day with excitement of apprehension (or a little of both) and I hope that meeting me/the classroom will put you at ease!

The first weeks of school for Kindergarten is different from the older grades. 

Please see below: 

Tuesday, August 25th:  Scheduled Parent Meetings all day 

Wednesday, August 26th:  Scheduled Parent Meetings all day 

Thursday, August 27th:  Students with last names A-G attend all day (8:40-3:30pm) 

Friday, August 28th:  Students with last names

 H-Z attend all day (8:40-3:30pm) 

Monday, August 31:  All Kinders Attend 

Monday, September 7th:  No School!

I cannot wait to meet you and your child!  Dont' forget to bring your school supplies and a smile!

Our year has come to an end.

We've made more cherished memories 

And many more new friends.

Our teacher have watched us learn and grow

And change from day to day.

They hope that all the things we've done

Have helped in some small way.

So it's with happy memories

They send us out the door

With great hope and expectations

For what next year holds in store.

Hip, Hip, Hooray!

First Grade 

is soon on its way!

These kinderkids are not only ADORABLE, but they are smart!

Those first grade teachers better be ready to challenge these amazing brains!

Check Us Out...

We came to school 165 days ago and we were wide-eyed and ready to learn. 

Now, we are almost ready to leave Kindergarten and enter First Grade with a brain that has been exercised and grown! 

 Our bodies have developed and our muscles are so much stronger!

Please, help me 

practice for my testing tonight 

because I have 1 more opportunity to prove my brain is ready for First Grade!  Come on...time me!

*1 minute to break words apart by sound that you give to me.

*1 minute to read 3 letter pretend words (I can read or sound out).

I know I can do it because I am a smart kid! 

 I believe in myself and so does my teacher!

Mother's Day Love

Thank you to all the mothers and grandmothers who came to be spoiled on May 8th!  

The KinderKids could NOT wait to sing for you and give you massages, 

orange floats, and gifts. 

It was an afternoon full of love!

Do you know how much we love you?

First, touch the ground...reach for the sky.

Now, get down low...then, jump real high!

Put one arm out and then the other.

That's how much we love you!

Bye-Bye, Butterflies!

1 month later has brought about many changes for our caterpillars.  

We have witnessed a metamorphosis in room 5!

We had 21 Painted Lady Butterflies!

They were gorgeous, but we sent them back to the scientists.   

We wish we could have kept them,

 but we know they must live in their natural habitats!
